how families are socially distancing and staying active

Hobbytown USA at 70th and Pioneers Blvd say it’s better than ever to get out and play…safe.

Daniel Schmidt of Hobbytown USA in Lincoln says that’s what’s popular in games and toys as a trending response to so much quarantine.

“The puzzles have been great. The other thing that’s been really popular is the remote control cars. And the reason why, you can still play with your remote control car while you’re away from society, but you can go out , you can have fun, you can jump them off a ramp,” said Daniel Schmidt, owner of Hobbytown USA.

Yes, these are some of the most searched items they have seen lately. They say they sell hundreds of puzzles every week.

However, in-store events are of course canceled, but you can still walk up to the door and tell them what you’re looking for and their associates can be your personal shopper and provide you with options.

“The COVID situation has given people an opportunity to think about some of the things that are a little more practical, a little more fun, coming back to spending time with family and family,” Schmidt said.

They are still only curbside, but plan to open the store to the public next week, as per prescribed guidelines.
