See the small things

A face is a
friendly place to start.

Animal pictures have useful clues: a curved ear, a bright eye, a change from fur to background. Pick a distinctive detail, then look for the pieces that connect to it.

Start with the animal

Group the warm orange pieces in the fox scene, or the pale face pieces in the owl scene. Assemble those details before the quieter background.

Follow a branch or a leaf

Look for lines that continue across tiles. A branch, a flower stem or a tree trunk can help you decide which pieces belong beside one another.

Make the challenge comfortable

Switch to 12 pieces if you want larger clues. Choose 24 or 48 when you are ready to spend more time on the finer details.

A hint is always nearby.
